The story of an extreme 280km vol-bivouac through the Karakoram to K2
Some of the wildest paragliding footage ever shot
Dali Carbol and Juraj Kleja in the Karakoram
Released December 2012
Dali Carbol and Jurak Kleja are legendary Czech pilots with a long history of flying deep in the Himalayas.
In summer 2011 they teamed up to attempt one of the ultimate lines in Karakoram flying: from Hunza to K2.
On the first day they flew 140km over unlandable terrain, only landing when strong valley winds forced them down, "Swatting us like flies onto the mountainside."
The next day they took off for the ultimate flight: 60km through some of the Karakoram's most spectacular terrain to K2 base camp and beyond.
Flying at up to 7,000m without oxygen the pair demonstrated what ultra lightweight paragliding could accomplish in the very biggest mountains on Earth.
A truly spectacular achievement – and a brilliant film.
50 minutes, including extras
Subtitles: English, German, Polish
