Parabatix brought spectacular, spectator-friendly tasks to the sport of paramotoring at its first ever event, held near Mountauban in the southwest of France at the end of 2010.
Parabatix DVD, produced by acclaimed free flight film directory Anthony Green, puts you in the heart of the fast-paced action using onboard angles and high definition footage. Specially commissioned 3D-animations explain the tasks that combined pylon racing with stick-and-ball kicking precision elements.
The event brought together pilots from around the world including current World Champion Michel Carnet and former World Champion Mathieu Rouanet along with French champion Alex Mateos and top woman Emilia Plak.
The film follows the pilots as they battle it out task by task, revealing their emotions in candid interviews as things get tight at the top of the leader board. By the time the final task is reached only seconds separate the leaders making for a nail-biting finish to the film.
This film though isn’t just about the fight for the top spot. It’s also about a group of pilots coming together in the spirit of friendship and cooperation to bring something new and exciting to the sport of paramotoring.
The Parabatix team are confident that the new competition formula of "exciting aerial action with strong pilot characters will captivate audiences, and at a fraction of the cost of other aerial events,” means the event will follow in the footsteps of other successful spectator sports such as the Red Bull Air Races.
