After years of teaching, guiding and working with radios we finally found one that did everything we wanted and, better still, lasted more than a season. XConnect is a two-piece boom mike that integrates with either full face or open face helmets. The system is made from a tough, 3.5mm rubber-coated wire, sprung coiled to absorb the inevitable pulls and tugs that happen when youíre using them. The button feeds down your jacket arm and velcros to your finger making chat instant and stress-free.

not for all Yaesu radios

I bought the PTT over Christmas and the overall quality seems to be good. However, the Yaesu plug supplied does NOT work with the Yaesu VX-120, and other radios in that family. (These radios have a recessed waterproof jack for the audio/mic connection.) Finding a working adapter to mate the XC-PTT and the recessed jack has proved elusive, so far.
